Ryan Jackson, Associate Pastor of
Worship & Students
Ryan Jackson’s father led him to the Lord at the age of 5. He joined Harvest Decatur in 2006 when it was a small core group of people, eight in all. Over the next two years, God grew that group to over thirty people who shared the same vision of launching a Bible-preaching, Jesus-worshipping church. In November of 2008, Harvest officially began. Ryan has served as a worship leader since the launch. In 2011, he was brought on as associate pastor and took the lead of the children’s ministry.
Ryan’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:6-7.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Ryan and his wife, Heather, dated all through college and were married in 2003. They have adopted two children, Kia and Abby. He loves to write fiction in his spare time and has a dream of one day writing Christian young adult stories that point youth to the Gospel. He prefers to go by the nickname RJ. RJ’s favorite food is steak.
