The Family Life Pastor will teach, shepherd, and lead the church in execution of the mission and values of the church, specifically focused on overseeing the organization and execution of the children’s, youth, small group, men’s, and women’s ministries. As overseer, he will necessarily need to assume the lead roles as the ebb and flow of volunteers require. A primary initial focus shall be assuming the lead role for the youth and children’s ministries. He will be a committed member of a small group. He will be accountable to the elders with the goal of becoming a vocational elder alongside the Senior Pastor. In addition, he will preach 6-10 times a year. The Family Life Pastor will live in or relocate to the Decatur area in order to be involved in church life throughout the week and demonstrate a deep desire to spread the gospel in the city and around the world.
Harvest Kids is a ministry for children from birth through 6th grade. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children and volunteers who participate in our children’s ministry. We perform background checks and provide training for all our volunteers serving in Harvest Kids. Our classrooms open on Sundays at 9:10 a.m. for our Sunday services at 9:30 a.m. If you are interested in serving, please contact Heather Jackson.
Discipleship is not something young people should look to do later in life, it is something they should be doing now! Harvest Students is committed to making disciples of Junior High and Senior High School students today. Our weekly meetings are centered on God’s Word, prayer, and building community among young believers.
